Driving to Burning Man from Seattle
How do I get to Burning Man?
gwally.com has some great information on this. For your convenience, I've entered Wally's four suggested routes into Google Maps.
An advantage of Routes 2 , 3 , 4 is avoiding the California Agricultural Inspection Station just north of Alturas, CA. It's no fun having your fresh fruit confiscated! These routes bypass Alturas.
These days, I always use Wally Route 4
to avoid the stress and delays of I-5 traffic (yuck!). It's also a beautiful drive!
Wally Route 1
http://gwally.com/directions/000402.phpThis is the traditional boring easy route, with lots of I-5 driving. You will have to pass through an Agricultural Inspection Station entering California. It's also the only route that does not pass by Summer Lake Hot Springs .

Wally Route 4
href="http://gwally.com/directions/000745.phpTotally avoid I-5. This is my favorite backcountry route from Seattle to the Playa!
