Breakdown!

A fuel pump failure, it turned out. Luckily, we were in cell phone range (barely!) of Burns, OR so we could call a tow truck.

Stranded in Burns for several days waiting for the correct replacement part to be shipped to the local Ford dealership, we started getting stir crazy. We resorted to cooking in our hotel room.

Alvord Hot Spring

Whitehorse Hot Springs

Cold Camping

Camping near Near Eden-Valley-Road. The temperature got down to 15 degrees F at night, and our camper's water system froze — forcing the sink's spigot nozzle to explode off with a bang! in the middle of the night.
